Tilting and rotating lifting point with UNC thread from Codipro | DSS
The DSS-U from the brand Codipro. The lifting eye can be tilted 180°, but also swivel 360° around its own axis. The product has been specially designed for lifting rotating loads.
The lifting ring DSS is made of a lifting ring in GRADUP steel, a guarantee for the high quality of the material. In order to guarantee the safety of the user, it is subject to a series of very strict checks.
This lifting eye has a UNC (Unified National Coarse) thread. What is a UNC thread? This is a thread which is defined as coarse which refers to the density of the thread itself. The thread is stated in inch sizes.
What is the difference between the DSR & DSS lifting points from Codipro?
Both lifting eyes can be used for lifting, both lifting eyes can also rotate 360 degrees under load. The lifting eyes can tilt 180 degrees. Then what’s the difference? Simply put, the DSS is the large brother of the DSR.
Where the DSR has a safe workload of up to 13,500 lbs, the DSS has a maximum safe workload of 55,000 lbs. The DSS variant has a UNC thread from 1″-8 to 2″1/2-4. The largest variant of the DSS series, the UNC2″ 1/2-4 with a WLL of 55,000 lbs, can also be rotated 360 degrees under load.
It has a safety coefficient of 4 and 5, which means that the breaking load is 4 or 5 times higher than the WLL (Working Load Limit). Its safety coefficient 5 allows it to be used worldwide without any restrictions.

Machine style lifting points are the most popular eye bolts we sell. They are designed to be screwed into a pre-drilled hole, although some of our customers choose to attach them through a drilled hole and place a nut on the end of the threaded bolt.
When mounting a lifting eye, it must be screwed in completely, the wire must not be visible anymore. See the product sheets for the torque(Nm) force that is required for each lifting eye.
